My favourite TV show ever is Gilmore Girls! its such a funny and amazing show! here are some facts about the show!!

Gilmore Girls is famous for its fast-talking mother-daughter duo, but behind the scenes, the show required extreme technical precision. Because of the rapid-fire dialogue, an average script was 75–80 pages long, nearly double the length of a standard hour-long TV drama.

  • "Mauling" for Marks: Since Rory was Alexis Bledel's first acting job, Lauren Graham would often keep her arm around Bledel in early episodes to physically steer her to the correct camera marks.
  • Luke was a Woman: The character of Luke Danes was originally written as a woman named Daisy. The network requested more male characters, so the role was changed.
  • Paris was Custom-Made: Liza Weil originally auditioned for the role of Rory. She didn't get it, but producers liked her so much they created the character of Paris Geller specifically for her.

  • Musical Anagram: Lane’s band name, Hep Alien, is an anagram for Helen Pai, a producer on the show and the real-life inspiration for Lane's character.
  • Missed Auditions: Both Ryan Gosling and Chris Pine auditioned for roles on the show. Gosling reportedly "fell flat" in his audition for a small "football character".
  • Real-Life Connections: Kelly Bishop (Emily) and Edward Herrmann (Richard) were incredibly close in real life. Herrmann's family even invited Bishop to be the only cast member to say goodbye to him before he passed away in 2014.
